Did you know MS PowerPoint can be used to create:

  • Hyperlinks between slides and to the internet
  • Present sounds
  • Present YouTube Videos
  • Layers of objects and images
  • Places where you can enter text and information

When you combine all these functions, PowerPoint becomes more than just a simple presentation tool.  You can create some interesting and interactive multimedia resources for your classroom.

I class you played one such game that I created.  It is a Jeopardy game.  Maybe you are wondering how I created this game.  The following four tutorial videos will guide you through the steps in creating your own Jeopardy game using MS PowerPoint 2003.

Collaborative Project.

You will create a Jeopardy game using MS PowerPoint.  You will work in groups of two-three people who have similar preferred teaching settings. The project is worth 10% of your final participation grade.  You will present your Jeopardy game to another group in the final lesson. You should incorporate a variety of multimedia into your Jeopardy game.  You will have three lessons to prepare your Jeopardy game.

In preparation for the next lesson you must upload your jeopardy game PowerPoint file to a page on your e-portfolio (blog).
