Part 2: Setting up your Gmail account.

Now, you will set up your Gmail account.  You will use this e-mail account for the rest of this course. Gmail does not allow large quantities of people to join from one location, so you might have to complete the steps in the following tutorial video at home.

Part 3: Sending an e-mail to your instructor

Take time to read Chapter 1 of your course textbook.  Next, carefully complete the task file on p.160 of the course textbook.  Keep in mind what you have read.
Now that you have an e-mail account, you can send an e-mail to your instructor.  The e-mail should answer the following questions relating to the Task File (p.160):

  • What is one statement that you highly agree with? Why?
  • What is one statement that you highly disagree with? Why?
  • To what extent do you think technology can be utilised as a teaching tool in your EFL classroom?

PLEASE WRITE YOUR ENGLISH NAME AND TESOL CLASS (MA, MB, MC, EA….etc) AT THE TOP OF THE E-MAIL.

You can find your instructor’s e-mail address on the ‘Contacts’ page of this blog.  Your instructor will keep your e-mail address in their contacts and will use this to communicate with you during the course.  Please send the e-mail before the start of Week 2 of the course.

Conclusion

You have completed the Introduction Module.  Module 1 will guide you towards describing your preferred teaching setting and setting up your e-portfolio (blog).  You can prepare for this by reading p.87 – 93 of the course textbook.
